I had to share something magical about my little town! I grew up in the small village of Elora, Ontario, Canada. It has always been a quaint little town full of culture and arts and it's still going strong as one of the top places to visit in Canada.
What I have always loved here is it's inclusivity and how this little town nurtures and supports it's local artisans. You will find amazing shops and galleries full of the amazing works of people who live here.
At this time of year, these amazing "Monsters" are put up all over town. They are created by artist Tim Merton. Everywhere you look, there seems to be one of these creepy yet fascinating sculptures and guess what happens at night? THEY LIGHT UP!
So pre-Covid, close to Halloween, the whole town would dress up in monster costumes and parade around town viewing all the artwork. It's a way of celebrating our community, coming together and having a laugh, a scare and a thrill together.
This is why I love my little town. This is why I vowed to return when we moved away when I was 12. This is why Elora will always have a special place in my heart!
